Accessibility statement

We want Pulsark to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, or need reduced motion. This statement describes where the website stands today and how to tell us when we fall short.

What we aim for

We target WCAG 2.2 level AA for pulsark.app and Pulsark Studio. We test with keyboard navigation, browser zoom, small-screen layouts and reduced-motion settings, and we measure colour contrast rather than eyeballing it.

What works today

Every page has a skip link and a main landmark, headings run in order, and all interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard with a visible focus indicator. Icon-only buttons carry text labels for screen readers. The site respects your operating system’s reduced-motion setting, in which case animations are disabled rather than merely shortened. Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and touch targets meet the minimum size on phones.

Known limitations

Pulsark Studio is a dense audio tool, and two parts of it are harder to use without sight: the step sequencer is a visual preview with a text description rather than a fully navigable grid, and the waveform on each pad is decorative. In both cases the underlying sound is still reachable — every pad has a labelled play button. Studio also needs a pointer or touch for the sliders; keyboard adjustment works, but fine values are easier with a mouse.

The iPad app

Pulsark on iPad supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels on its controls, and the system reduce-motion setting. As a real-time instrument, some gestures are inherently timing-based. If a specific control is blocking you, tell us — that feedback shapes what gets fixed first.
